Say What? Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance gets a standalone Blu-Ray Release

Nice! Palisades Tartan is on a roll and will be releasing another director Park Chan-wook film,  first with Oldboy and Now a Standalone Blu-Ray of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance will get that treatment. No word if the Blu-Ray Box will be black instead of the standard Blue (Which I loved) But hey we are getting the Ultimate Revenge Edition.

Now what does that mean….Not sure, is it a different cut of the film with more footage? or maybe more extras? not sure but hey I can’t wait.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance will hit us in the face on Blu-Ray on July 22 2014 and maybe soreelflix will be able to give a review for you guys like we did with Palisades Tartan’s Oldboy which can be seen here – (spoiler alert…it gets a 5)  Click HereReview

Plot: A deaf-mute man, Ryu (Shin Ha-kyun), works in a smelting factory and inhabits his own silent world, oblivious to the din both at work and in his downscale apartment building. When he’s laid off and tricked out of his savings by organ traffickers, his girlfriend, Yeong-mi (Bae Doona), suggests kidnapping his former boss’s daughter to pay for a vital kidney operation his sister (Im Ji-eun) needs to survive. Yeong-mi sees it as social revenge, and Ryu, initially scared of the consequences, finally agrees after seeing another laid-off worker attempt harakiri outside his boss’s home. But after kidnapping the girl, their whole plan starts to quickly unravel with horrible consequences.
