Looks like Finally the Sequel to The Raid: Redemption starts production with 100 days of shooting. The Raid 2: Berandal will star the same lead Iko Uwais and directed by the same director Gareth Evans.
No full plot for The Raid 2: Berandal except that the story starts 2 hours after where the last film left off and if its anything like the small clip that started the first film Iko Uwais will be in jail under cover and or for killing a bunch of bad guys in the first film.
The Raid 2: Berandal will be releasing in Indonesia in 2014 and I hope the rest of the world will get that same release because the last film did so well. Also the name of the film for the US could change to The Raid: Retaliation
The Director Gareth Evans had this to say about the next film:
“To all our fans thank you so much for your support. We can’t wait to come back and show you what we have been working on. We’ll be there in 2014 with a film bigger, better and bloodier!”
