Picture Quality

Disc Format: Blu-Ray

Over the Picture quality looks good, pretty sharp detail but could improve at spots, deep blacks, colors pop through the cool blue filter look of the film when colors do appear.

My Thoughts

Over all the sound is great. Loud at points with spooky sounds and not over re-verbed/hall sounding. Deeper sounds sound deep with a good bass. Also has a great sound track

Rigor Mortis is a freaky film with great texture. Filled with ghosts and a Human made vampire who gains supernatural ability when twin ghost posses its body thanks to black magic.

The good – Gets gory, played loud the film sounds good and jumpy with a great sound track, the effects used are good for once,The Vampire is freaky and somewhat reminds me of Nosferatu. The film is an over all fun film to watch with a good story.

The Bad – Not much, maybe its a little slow at start, more vampire screen time would be cool, maybe a little to dark for some

Over all Fun film to watch but not scary and I would say more on the cool freaky side with a sound track that tends or try’s to make it a little more scary but at the same time its like dark poetry. The film looks good and I would say pick it up give it a watch. I give Rigor Mortis a 4.5 out of 5. More gore, a little more screen time for vampire and twin ghosts would be nice and would have made the film almost a 5 star film for me.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
