My Thoughts

Saving Mr. Wu is a based on a true story crime drama starring Andy Lau as an Actor who is kidnapped. The Kidnappers are portraying Police and not only did they Kidnap Mr Wu a Movie star but also another guy whom they thought had Money. The Main Kidnapper has been caught and he is working with and or spinning story’s with are detectives trying to find Mr Wu.

The Story was good follow with Great acting and Nice to Look at Cinematography. The Gritty sharp-looking Sets and Clothing work well . The story can run slow at times and not a ton of action as it’s not an action film its a Crime Drama based on true events. Kidnappers kidnapping and trying to make money. The film ends with on Positive with a Message for crime setters and again Acting is great, Andy Lau made the film for me.

Overall the film was a good watch thanks to the acting and story. The film also sounds and Looks good Picture and Sound Quality wise in Blu-Ray Format. The Downsides for me is the story runs slow at times and I wish we had some more turns, and twists, and Mystery, in the Story-line. A Little more action bits to show that the Kidnappers are not ones to mess with would also make for better viewing. Bu I do have to say the story Runs Realistically.

With that said I give Saving Mr. Wu a 3.5 out of 5 and If you’re in to crime drama thrillers or Good looking Picture/Sound Quality or A Collector of Asian Films then you might want to give this a go.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
