My Review:

The Adventurers is a Heist Action Film Starring Andy Lau and Jean Reno. Zhamng Dan (Andy Lau) Fresh out of Prison is looking to get his hands on a highest of a lifetime but with a french detective (Jean Reno) on his every move he is met with roadblocks even after recruiting two other players to help.

The Story is nothing we haven’t seen before and in fact its a blend of a few heist movies. We also have some portions of the film that doesn’t fit like you know those time were you say oh its a movie, those cop had dirt bikes the whole time. A few Twists and turns hit the plot but they are short and not effective enough Acting wise was good and like Andy Lau and his team and it was also good to see Jean Reno back on the Big Screen. Action was Good but not great. The Heist portions deal with High Tech stuff but again it’s not like we haven’t seen this before. The Film does bring a comedy factor which I did like and found myself laughing at a few lines.

Overall the film is an OK viewing. I know most of the things typed above is more on the negative but it’s still has its enjoyable moments. Any, Yo Yang and Shu Qi make a great team on-screen. A Plus would be the action is good when it hits and it’s not CGI’ed Out like a car flipping over in a tunnel looked realistic and most likely was.

With that said I give this Move a 3 out of 5 stars hitting at Average and still has its moments. I would say give it a shot. Pick it up if you’re a collector or Andy Lau fan but for the rest, wait and see if Netflix gets it.
