My Thoughts |
The Midnight After is a Post Apocalyptic film that You have no Idea on what is going on or how things happened they way they did. A Bus Carrying Passengers who we get to know enters a tunnel but when it comes out seems like they are the only ones left on earth, except for a pop up or two, one of which is a computer in space that gets one of the characters singing Major Tom. A Few bad things happen due to bad folks as a few die and it also raining red which makes you believe maybe a Nuke attack. Well the end comes and are characters still don’t know what happened.
The story is different with an ending that’s makes you still think what could have happened. We get some gore, some death, drama, mystery and some comedy. Acting wise it was OK and all the characters were cool as we got to know them through flashbacks. The down side is the film is a tad long at 2 hours and I can see some not liking the ending by not finding out what went wrong. I didn’t mind that as its something that will stay with you for some time.
Overall the film was good watch as it was a different spin on a Post Apocalyptic story line. A lot of Actors and Leads that we get to know through a small build up of each person. A Tad long, more death scenes and what the hell are those things at the end?
With that said I give The Midnight After a 4 out of 5 . One down side for me is that it’s not on Blu-Ray. Well we get a Part 2? I say know, keep the wonder going. Pick it up give it a shot.
