Looking for revenge against the system that placed him inside, Yu-gon joins the syndicate… but with every man out for himself, how long can the perfect crime last?

My Review:

The Prison is a Thriller Crime Action Film that deals with a Guy whom runs a Prison and sets out to commit the perfect crimes. Are lead is a Detective who messes up and is sentenced to Prison. He slowly gains the Bosses trust and is welcome into the crew. One thing about this Boss he has full control over the prison and can also leave anytime. So with that power he can commit crimes on the outside and come back to prison when he will never get caught. Are lead does some bad things to stay by his side due to the information he found about his dead brother whom was a reporter. Does are lead find out what happened? Does he get out of Prison? Does he take over?

The story was good follow that brings us a story-line we’ve seen but also brings a bunch of new things to the table. Some Small twists happen and we also get some OK Gore but would have been even better if we got more like showcasing and showing the viewers the guys hand getting cut off in one scene. The action was pretty good, we get a decent amount of prison fights, some chase scenes and explosions. The action at times is hard-hitting and realistic. No fake CGI effects here. Maybe the explosions but They looked real. The film does run a little long and maybe a tad slow in one scene or two but for the most part the film flowed pretty good. The score was great as it shook my walls and gave great effect to portions of the scenes.

Overall the film was a good watch and refreshing for me. The action was good mixed with an enjoyable story with and ending that might let some off but for me I see why it went down the way it did with are lead. More gore a little more back story to cover the slow portions and maybe we would have an even better film .

With that said I give this film a 4 out of 5 with a half star almost making the cut in the rating. I say give this film a show and pick it up if you like Korean action films. Granted again would have loved to see it get grittier with the gore…Its not a film dedicated to gore but I would of like to see that hand come off lol. Pick it up.
