Over the sound is great deep in bass, high clarity and good sound effects. Nothing to complain about

Picture Quality

Disc Format: Blu-Ray

I’m fighting with the rating as this could be maybe or closer to a 5 out of 5 in Picture Quality. The PQ is pretty good very sharp, clear and colors are vibrant. If anything the movie should be watched just based on how good it looks on Blu-Ray. Half Star Reduction on some of the CGI.

My Thoughts

White Haired Witch Is the Remake of The Bride With White Hair or I should Say a New Retelling Liang Yusheng’s Novel Baifa Monü Zhuan. At First The film Look Promising and I say its Still a Decent watch but the Action Slows down and the love interest between the 2 leads starts but for me didn’t seem to fit. Maybe bad Acting emotionally but it seemed stall on that point romantically.

Now with that said, the action still has its values as its fun to watch and some great sword play that was entertaining. The Story Seemed like it was up and down, rushed at parts with scenes cut into another with out explaining things in the story.
The CGI was Good at parts but a few scenes is where it kills the movie for me. The Main Part of that would be the ending where your supposed to feel teary eyed for the two lovers who fall from a cliff, but the acting wasn’t great and the CGI is just not good at all. Bad Camera Angles on that same scene had me rolling my eyes and it ends with an Outer space shot that leaves you going WTF. The Ending made me drop my rating some and wish they would have taken their time and ended it with a shot of the country celebrating and respecting the sacrifice the two made to help save.

Yes the movie is more bad than good but there is good within and like I said the action was great and even more so the Picture Quality is pretty good on Blu-Ray. Back Drops and Costumes were visually stunning and acting was decent when it didn’t come to the romance. I Really wanted to feel that emotion between the two leads especially at the end but it just becomes laughable in that scene. Man I wish the movie could have been more.

With all that said. I give the film a 2 out of 5. More of a Rent or even A reference for PQ if you Buy. But still I would say at least watch it once just for the action and the Picture Quality.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
