O How fun was this to watch. The Cabin in the Woods was a good film with a crazy twist that you wouldn’t see coming.  The film had an evil dead, 13 ghosts, Friday the 13th type of feel to it, and  film feels like it is paying homage to horror films. I can see pieces of other horror films mixed in. But on that note I don’t think I can describe this film as a Horror movie and to tell you the truth I don’t know what you would put this in. Yes it had the Horror elements and was some what spooky at times but with the twist in the plot  I would have to put this in its own genre.

With out giving too much away here is a list of  the stuff in Cabin in the Woods

• Nudity…..Nice but a Little more wouldn’t hurt
• Zombies
• other monsters
• Kills… I feel the kills could be a bit better. Instead of having the camera cut away on some of the kills I would like to see the Gore. So more gore would be better here and it hurts the rating some.
• A Zombie acting like Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion ( Get Over Here )
• a Pot head
• lots of weed
• A Rude Redneck
• A Cabin in the woods
• a zombie gets hit with a bong
• A little girl with a mouth for a face
• The whore who makes out with a wolf…..what?
• An Old white guy Screaming Fuck you at a bunch of 10-year-old Japanese girls
• Your one black guy in the group who go’s to the cabin in the woods
•  and last but not least, a merman…say what?

The movie at first was like your typical horror movie that deals with woods and cabins or houses in the woods with zombies but then the plot gets changed and then your like what the fuck! This is different. Thats when the whole horror genre gets pushed more to the comedy / Truman show like.

As the time moves on and you get to the last half hour then  the film turns in to nice….this is fun  and your imagination go’s rambling on like hmm what other monsters are there and I would like to see more of that monster and so on.

The end is near and its like from a cabin in the woods to ….uhhh the world is going to end now if you don’t kill your self so the virgin can get killed last. haha

I give the movie a 4.5 out of 5.  More kills with a better visual with more gore, more naked girls, perhaps a naked girl running in the woods being chased by a zombie could have worked for me lol and some more spooky parts, maybe put a jump out of your seat scene or 2 in and I would give this a 5. Over all it was a fun movie to watch.

I say buy but if you are iffy on this….Red box is cheap
