Bankrolled by a deadly-serious dope czar (Ron Perlman, SONS OF ANARCHY) and supplied by an ex-government grower (John C. McGinley, SCRUBS), Nate’s pursuit of the high life – complete with girls, guns, and vicious rival dealers – may leave this ex-pizza boy in way over his head. – Well Go USA

Audio/Video

Audio

Over all the sound of the films was good featuring a soundtrack in the hip hop genre so it was bassy. Gun shots sounded good and the Narration was a tad on the bassy side though.

Picture Quality

Disc Format: Blu-Ray

The Picture quality was good but could be better but for this type of film is not needed. The Film is sharp on close-ups colors pop and the blacks are pretty deep.

My Thoughts

Kid Cannabis for me was a fun watch and I feel will be a fun film for those who Smoke pot. I don’t smoke but did enjoy the film more that I thought, as I went in with low expectations. You will find a few actors you have seen before and a lot of actors you haven’t. The Film is based on a true story that follows Nate Norman and his plan to smuggle Weed across the USA / Canada Border for his love of weed turns into a thrill. He Hires his Friends to run for him and like most story’s that end it go’s south, with a few parenting wows that spring up thinking should those kids be around. The Film is Narrated by the lead actor who Plays Nate and the story is laid out With Him telling his story and ending with a where are they now captions.

The Good – Fun Watch fun plot, True Story helps it, Filled with Weed information like strains man, Nudity, some gun fire, ghillie suits, the film PQ and Sound Quality was good.

The Bad – Kind of feels like Wolf of Wall Street with out the Wall Street, Runs a tad long but not by much, Plot may offend / appeal to a lot due to the drug appeal.

Over all Its Good Film and feel that it will appeal to the younger crowed and pot heads, but also might pull in some you guys and gals who are not of the younger generation and or potheads. If you have low expectations of the film you might be like it like I did as you go in thinking it will be bad, just let go and enjoy the drug smuggling, money-making, nude girls partying and a cast you don’t know sprinkled with a few guys you have seen before who have pretty small roles.

With that said I give this film a 3.5 out of 5. It’s no Scarface but it is a true and interesting story of some young Folk who like weed. Check it out weed heads and or for the rest of you older folk …. don’t worry that’s me too, rent it first. I’m happy to have the film on my shelf to share with my cousins.

“Take a good look at my tits boys. If you don’t co-operate, they’re the last pair you’ll ever going to see.”

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
