A U.S. soldier (Armie Hammer, FREE FIRE, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.) is stranded in the desert for 52 hours after a mission falls apart and must fight for survival against his enemies, the hostile environment, and the creeping psychological toll of his treacherous situation. Annabelle Wallis (ANNABELLE, THE MUMMY) and Tom Cullen (DOWNTON ABBEY) co-star in this tense, explosive military thriller from the producer of BURIED and THE CONJURING.

My Review:

MINE Starring Armie Hammer is a War drama about a guy who Finds himself stuck on a mine after running from a few bad guys with his lookout after a failed mission. The Movies is not about wart but mostly a guy trying to survive in one spot who starts to lose his mind and overall basically finds himself after we get flashbacks to his past life.

The Story is pretty slow at times and for most of the film are lead is stuck in one spot. Facing the heat and coldness of the desert. Wild dogs and later on the best part but short a few bad guys. The story doesn’t play to close to realistic when it comes to Military. We have a few spots that just kind of doesn’t fit like the guy on the other side of the radio sounded like he wasn’t caring or was not gonna send help due to the failed to kill. Another portion where his girlfriend is on the other line just does not fit in. A Portion with the bad guys at the end…He is Sniping guys left and right but the bad guys who are getting shot are just watching him and looking at each other. Their a lot of down side that needs work and some holes that need to be filled.

But overall the film for me was not all bad. I Do enjoy the whole situation of the film just wished it didn’t have those holes and the unrealistic side of a Military story. Action was fun but it is minimal. Would have loved to see more missions of this guys talented snipering skills but we don’t get it. The film gets medium to low scores and for me I’m in that same spot with this. It has its moments, its sounds like a cool plot but needn’t play out.

With that said for me I have to Give MINE a 2.5 out of 5 stares. Its well acted, Cool sounding plot but didn’t have the guts nor the action. Or the realistic side on how Military Operates. I Say. Give it a rent as it’s still an OK View.
