My Thoughts |
The 5,000 Fingers of DR.T is a Dr. Seuss Story come to Life in Live Action as we Journey in side a Child’s Dream or Should I say Nightmare. The Story Is like Watching Metropolis or The Cabinet of DR. Caligari due to the way the set is. Trippy and Huge set pieces cloud the TV screen are Child lead runs from an Evil Piano Teacher who is set to make tones of money of the Parents who send their child to him.
The Story was fun acting was good and like I said The overall way it looks was trippy but fun with its set pieces. The film does show its age but for those who have seen the film in the past will enjoy it even more than me as its my first viewing. The film does have a few dance scenes and Musical moments but even as a not so big Musical fan I did still enjoy the film.
Overall the film was fun but I feel viewers who have seen this film when it first release will have a more nostalgic feel to it. Pop it in and have a go, check the background and look at the set because that’s what stands out the most for me. Definitely give this a check if you like Bizarre crazy looking movies
With that said I give The 5,000 Fingers of DR.T a 3.5 out of 5 and its worth the view or even pick up on Blu-Ray at this price point.
