Film Synopsis

The End Is Here. The extinction of mankind is at hand. As a meteor hurtles toward the globe, the citizens of Earth have 12 hours to choose their fate. Some will party, some will pray, and still others will unleash their inner animals, embracing the chaos and destruction of the coming firestorm.

James (Nathan Phillips, SNAKES ON A PLANE) only wants to escape the pain of annihilation, and is on his way to his friends’ apocalyptic blowout when he discovers Rose (Angourie Rice, WALKING WITH DINOSAURS), lost and searching for her father. Reluctantly, he agrees to help – but this final good deed will prove far more dangerous than he ever expected.

Also starring Sarah Snook (“Predestination”), THESE FINAL HOURS follows one man’s journey to find humanity in a world that will never see another sunrise. – Well Go USA

My Thoughts

These Final Hours is an Pre-Apocalyptic film dealing with the would come to an end or for those in Australia within 12 hours. The film is Gory at times and are lead actor saves a young girl who was kidnapped who also stays by his side through out his Journey. You have Suicides and Folks going crazy in the film trying to get there last activity’s in before the world ends.

I like the film but at times it does slow but the portions do make up for it. Through out the film we have flashbacks the lead actors leaves his Wife and or Girlfriend to go get fucked up with his other girlfriend before it’s all over so he feels no pain. The film kind of has The Road (2009) feel to it with out the Cannibalism factor but isn’t that gritty and it does have its moments. Nudity, sex , gore, violence and drama is what makes this movie along with a Cool way the world ends its like a Fire ball.

With all that said I would give the film a 4 out of 5. Give it a shot if you like Pre-Apocalyptic films. The ending is good I feel.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
