It’s that time of the year when its cold outside and the fat man is only a couple of days away to deliver his packages. But before this happens, most Movie goers get in the spirit by watching Christmas Movies during December. To help out what to watch this December,
I wanted to get A Females perspective on Christmas Movies.

So… I Asked Amelia

Who is Amelia? Amelia is a radio personality to the #1 morning show in Maryland and one of the best Rock stations in the country.

A few days ago I emailed Amelia to ask her to share her List with us on her favorite Christmas Films. She couldn’t give the full amount of Ten films but she does give us Nine.  Check out below and read what she put on that list.

Amelia:

So these are my all time favorite Christmas movies. They really aren’t in any order.  Most are from the top of my head and as you can see I couldn’t do a complete top 10.  A few I found on google and fully expect to watch again before the 25th. These are the only Christmas movies I have seen more than once from beginning to end. I have seeked them all out during the holidays.

 Top 10 – Christmas Movies

1.Elf
It took the second time of watching this movie to fully appreciate it. I want to eat like Buddy.
2. Scrooged
Bill Murray at his most awkward best.  Some of this movie can drag but when it is good it is really good.
3. A Christmas Story
No explanation needed.  This movie is on everyone’s list.
4. Christmas Vacation
One day I know I will have to empty my RV somewhere. Much like Scrooged it can drag too but well worth waiting for the good stuff.
5. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Heat Miser, Land of Misfit Toys, the Abominable Snowman. I doubt they are all in one movie because Rankin Bass movies are great as a kid but even better in college…on red and green weed.
6. A Charlie Brown Christmas
I own the CD of the music from the show and listen to it year round. Seriously.
7. Bad Santa
You can’t drink worth shit. I weigh 92 pounds, you dick!
8. Gremlins
So cute and so evil. I just saw this one this season for the third or forth time and completely forgot it was a Christmas movie. Damn weed.
9. Die Hard
Bruce Willis with hair.  There really is a Santa and he can kick ass.

Wow thanks for the list Amelia. I have to be honest, I forgot about Gremlins as well. To make it 10 Films I will throw out one movie I just watched last year for the first time.

10. It’s a Wonderful Life

I’m not a guy who likes sappy films much, but when I seen its a wonderful life for the first time last Christmas on Blu-Ray I was surprised that I enjoyed it.I didn’t know of the film before hand except the quote

What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Mary.

After viewing the whole film I had to put Its a Wonderful Life in My top 10 Christmas movies and also became a Jimmy Stewart fan.

Plugs:   To Hear Amelia do her thing on 98 Rock (which I listen every Morning) Check out Mickey Amelia & Spiegel on 79.9 fm in Maryland or if your out-of-state you can hear her Online At 98online.com Where you can stream the audio of the show or watch the show from there Livewire in-studio Cam from 5:30am to 10am Monday through Friday.
