From the trailers and clips I have seen along with other work from Lynch as made be a fan and I sit here pounding the keys and trying to mentally force The criterion collection this film out on the Blu along with the other body’s of work David Lynch has made. Come on Criterion what are you waiting for and stop teasing us about this film on Blu and release it on Blu…

Film Number 32: Hidden Fortress (Update: Released on Blu-Ray)

Say what! Another Criterion film? Huh yes! The hidden Fortress is one film I still need to upgrade on Blu-Ray that came in a film Akira Kurosawa box set. I need this on Blu now please.

The Hidden Fortress is a great film but oddly enough this film is my least favorite film in the Akira Kurosawa box set. That being said I still enjoyed this film and would love to complete my Blu-Ray collection with The Hidden Fortress on the big Blu. I say this over and over again and sadly have to pick on The Criterion Collection to say WTH, Put this film along with the other Hundred films I listed.

The Hidden Fortress Stars Toshirô Mifune, Misa Uehara, and Minoru Chiaki

Plot: The story follows two greedy peasants in feudal Japan, Tahei and Matashichi, who are returning home from a failed attempt to profit from a war between neighboring clans. En Route they encounter the remnants of the defeated tribe that consists, most notably, of a famous General and a Princess who are hiding out in a fortress in the mountains. General Rokurota Makabe and Princess Yuki need to escape into allied territory with their large supply of gold so that they can rebuild their shattered clan. To do this the Peasants are tricked into helping them, with the promise that they will receive a large share of the gold when the destination is reached. Along the way, the General’s prowess is put to the test as he must guide the 4, and later 5 with the inclusion of a freed slave, through close encounters with the pursuing enemy, and out of difficult situations the bumbling peasants manage to get them into – IMDb

Why put out one with out the other? Come on Blu! Bogus journey need that Blu as well as I feel its a great movie and a fun one to follow along with the story as we travel to hell and see what that’s like. Also get to go to heaven. Film Number 34: Best of the Best 1 & 2

As A child I loved action films and one of those films are Best of the Best. While we are here, Might as well throw in Best of the Best 2. why you say? Both are good with one being the Best of the Best and Best of the Best 3 and 4 are on Blu-Ray…….UHhhhhh and Best of the Best 1 and 2 are not?

This is weird that the 3rd and 4th films are on Blu so we need 1 and 2 on Blu now. Best of the Best for me is a great film showcasing martial arts in tournament style that keeps you wanting to learn how to fight after the film is over. Not only that, the ending will make you tear up every time.

I need that tear and I need to view this on Blu. So movie world, let’s go before a roundhouse whips around and knocks the film out of you.

Best of the Best stars Eric Roberts, James Earl Jones, and Chris Penn

Plot: A team from the United States is going to compete against Korea in a Tae Kwon Do tournament. The team consists of fighters from all over the country–can they overcome their rivalry and work together to win? – IMDb

Film Number 35: Weekend at Bernie’s (Update: Released on Blu-Ray)

Another child hood film I thought for sure would make it to Blu a few years ago when the Bernie dance became a hit with the youth…even though I know for sure that 90% who danced like that never seen the film.

I have only seen this film 2 times and I enjoyed it both times and I would love for this film to get the Blu-Ray treatment. Not only that I would love to see Part 2 get that same treatment and bring these films back to show those kids that knew the Berne dance what that came from.

Lets go and get this a Blu Before Bernie rolls in his grave…and starts walking again

Weekend at Bernie’s stars Andrew McCarthy, Jonathan Silverman, and Terry Kiser

Plot: Two young men are trying to make their way in a corporation. One on charm, the other on hard work. When they go to the president (Bernie) with a serious financial error on a printout, he pretends to be thrilled and invites them to his beach house for the weekend. He actually plans on having them killed. Bernie is also fooling around with the girlfriend of his mafia partner. When the partner has Bernie killed, the boys end up having to pretend Bernie is still alive as the frustrated hit man tries time and time again to complete the job. – IMDb
