The Sound Quality in the film is great, part of the film is in English most in Korean unless you select the English dub. The overall sound was clear, loud dialogue and gun shots rang out with deep tones.

Picture Quality

Disc Format: Blu-Ray

The PQ was good the not great, its sharp-looking but the details could be sharper. What I enjoyed the most about the way it looked was the dark tone of the film and the lighting in those dark scenes were great.

My Thoughts

No Tears for the Dead was a good film in my eyes with a great storyline, great action even though it’s not filled with action until the last hour but when it comes its good. The action is mainly gun play, lots of it with a few scenes of hand to hand. Whats make the film for me is the stuff you didn’t see coming, the shock portions of the film the South Korea does so well.

Now the film isn’t a 5 star classic but is defiantly a good watch and I feel should be in your movie collection. The films pace is slow and story driven with some character build up that I wish was more. The Main Actor is an assassin and just like when the main character is an assassin they turn. Whats different about this is why, and lets just say he did something that will make you cry even though he didn’t when that scene happened.

Just like most endings the story is unraveling before your eyes with most of its action playing out with explosions and tons of bullets. Now what would make this film better would be some twists and turns, A little more character build up and some more shock.

Overall the film was a great watch, great sound quality, action, and story. But the film did lag some at parts and overall I give the No Tears for the Dead a 4 out of 5 and should be added to your collection right next to The Man from Nowhere

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
