My Thoughts

Reign of Assassins is a Swordplay Wuxia Film with John Woo’s Named Attacked to it and also Staring as are lead the talented Michelle Yeoh. A Young Women who belongs to the the Dark Stone Assassin Gang finds her self not wanting to live the life she is living after slaughtering a family. She runs off after surgically making her self look older and with half of a mummified corps that contains power if both pieces were to meet.

The story is good but does have some holes and could be due to some cuts being left out. Sometimes its confusing but overall its great. Action wise it was fun sword play with Wuxia but not an insane amount of the wire fu where it makes it look too fake. Acting was good and my main lady did a great job. The acting can be brutal at times like at the beginning with a child being killed off by are lead.

Overall The film was a great watch, not classic but its close. Love action, swordplay xuxia films with Michelle Yeoh in the lead and John Woo in the editing booth? You will enjoy this one. Action is great bun not over saturated and or not much of. It’s just right with a good story

With that said I give Reign of Assassins a 4 out of 5 thanks to its action and story. The film gets good reviews and I’m with the majority. Just wished we got a Blu-Ray Version so we can get that Color popping sharp detail greatness./

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
