over all the sound quality is good with its gun fire and explosions but it could be better. I feel the vocals could be more sharper…but hey I’m just nit-picking

Rating:3.5 stars

Video

The pq is good, sharp at places, colors pop when there colors to see like red. There is grain in the film and some dirt or scratches…but I like that as it lets me know its an older film.

My Thoughts

Seven Warriors for me was enjoyable, fun and at some points funny ro watch. At first I wasn’t liking the film too much but then I found out Why.
I was trying to compare this film with Seven samurai which this film is based of off and it pays homage to that as well.So I dropped the whole thing, why should I compare the scene for scene it’s not that same it wont be plus this film has guns.

The Good – The film gets gory with some good kill scenes. Whats a Sammo Hung film with out at least showing one breast/Nipple. The story was good, different while still maintaining that overall story of the film this is paying homage to. The action was fun to watch and I loved the cast.

The Bad – Wheres Sammo Hung at, He’s only at the start of the film. Really no need for him in the film. Film may get you comparing it with seven samurai (don’t do it). The sound track they kept playing through was kind of weird, I wouldn’t say its a bad thing
I got used to it and then expected it to pop up in some places.

Over all the film is great even without Sammo Hung. The film still has a good cast including my man Philop Kwok. Also part of the film was killing me when, playing with my emotions to where I throw up a fist and scream WHyyyyyy not the lizard.
The film doesn’t have a ton of action and not much hand to hand combat as it more guns explosions and swords. While watching the film I seen a familiar face that at first I couldn’t not figure out where I seen this guy…Oh right it’s that sumo wrestler who gets punched in his balls by Van Dam in bloodsport….Nice.

I enjoyed seven warriors more than the ratings I’ve seen and I feel if you’re an Asian film fan you will enjoy this as well. Now the film isn’t going to be classic like Seven Samurai or even Magnificent Seven but Sammo does a great job with the film as in directing, Pick this up check it out, It’s not much money for the film.

I give this film a 4 out of 5.
