Once a noble samurai, he is now he most feared assassin in Japan, known as Lone Wolf. Along with his young son and a heavily-armed baby cart, Ogami Itto travels the back roads of feudal Japan in search of vengeance. This blu-ray collector’s set contains the complete series that brought new life to blood-drenched death. From the explosive first film that became a cult-classic, to the snow-capped finale, there is never a dull moment for this loving father and son, the greatest team in the history of mass slaughter!

My Thoughts

Shogun Assassin, the classic sword swinging blood spraying Story Gets even better as you can watch blood spray from cuts like fountains on Blu-Ray.

The First film in the 5 film collection is the best of the 5, Featuring its classic English dubbing you can find sampled in the hip hop world.  You get a child narrating the film giving you an idea on what is going on In Which I love. This 5 film set is perfect for those who don’t like to read subtitles but the bad is the film is cut from 2 films from the Lone Wolf and cub collocation, So You don’t get the full story. The rest of the 5 film set is the full story like lone wolf and cub but its dubbing features different voice actors then the first film. I would of loved this collection even more if the Voice actors  from the first film did the whole set.

Now with that out-of-the-way this Blu-ray set is pretty sweet, the story is classic and For me I think Evey one who collects Asian cinema should have at least the first film in their collection and the lone wolf and cub set is a must have. Shogun Assassin is filled with  swords, rivers of blood, blood spraying from cuts neck like a fountain, a great story with  heart, a father who protects his son while they walk the path through hell, nudity, lady ninjas, and much more. The action is top-notch with great swordplay and tons of blood spraying. I Say go buy this if you don’t have but if you are a true collector  you should wait for the blu-ray version of Lone Wolf and Cub to release next month from AnimEigo and get the full story.

I Will give this 5 film collection a 3.5  Due to that it’s not the full story and that the voice actors change after the first film. But this is perfect for some one who doesn’t what to read subtitles. For Collectors buy the first film on Blu-Ray and get the Lone Wolf and Cub Collection on Blu-Ray.
