The Sound Quality is Just OK For DVD. The Voice over is too bassy giving it a Muffled sound and The On Screen Dialogue could also use a Tad bit more Hi’s Added in some parts but mostly its OK.

Picture Quality

Disc Format: DVD

The Picture Quality is Just OK For DVD. The film is in Black and White which makes noise more visible. Not Many Close up shots but when they pop up Faces look Decently Sharp. When the color portion of the film Hits the Films PQ Decreases as it’s over saturated and Image gets a little more blurry on distant shots.

Rating: 2.5 stars

My Thoughts

A Plague So Pleasant is A Super low Budget Post Apocalyptic film dealing with the coexistence of the Living and The Undead. The film has some good ideas like the grave site’s. Instead of tombstones we get Zombies. For 3 Grand we do get a good amount of People involved in the Acting department, but mostly Zombies. Makeup wise its not that great for but it works even if it’s just wet toilet paper but thanks to the Black and White it helps cover it up some.

Now the film isn’t all in Black and White, We get Color shots but to be honest it would have been better in Black and White as PQ decreases when color kicks in. Story wise the film is OK and like I said above it has some cool ideas but its a small story. The Gore factor is small but it’s not bad for what it is.

Overall the film is Just OK and I have to say for $3k it’s not a bad watch. Yes, its not scary, the story is just OK with no Character development and the film doesn’t give the view much emotion but for a Super low budget film its worth the check and the film does bring in some new ideas even if they only last for a few minutes.

With that said I give the film a Down the middle ratting of 2,5 out of. If you like low budget films and interested in film making then this film might appeal to you. Check it out but I have to say it wont appeal to everyone even horror fans may find the low budget factor getting in the way. But Hey Look at it like that… A Low budget film and see how much $3k Stretched for them.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
