THE INNOCENT Genre: Adventure Thriller Cyberspace is the new school playground when it comes to bullying. Children and teens of all ages use social networking sites to blast their peers, reveal dirty secrets, and taunt those around them, often destroying lives in the process. This is a story of two close young friends who have a falling out, and internet bullying ensues, evolving into physical violence. Questions arise about what is the real truth, and who actually are the victims. As it turns out, no one is as innocent as they appear. Can you handle the real answers?

Audio Language: English
Subtitles: English

The Sound Quality is about average for DVD. Some distortions are heard but mostly when you hear some one holler like about an hour in 3 actors holler aloud and you get some good clipping going on.

Rating: 3 stars

Picture Quality

Disc Format: Blu-Ray

The Picture Quality is below DVD quality. Distant shots are pixellated like. Sharpness is dull as same goes for the colors. these things are a bit better in well-lit shots but most indoor shots seem like it needs more light to help PQ.

Rating: 2.5 stars

My Thoughts

All American Bully is about a story we all might have partially seen, heard or have done. This film takes it farther to the breaking point of bullying and Bullier. From being bullied by a next door use to be friend of a person, a weird non feeling emotional father who just wants his son to be normal and not dorkish, to a point where guns get involved and the story opens a different door. The DVD cover Makes this film seem like a School shoot up film but it’s no where near.

OK the film wont win any acting awards or greatest looking Picture on DVD but the story is what counts. I feel like this is a more of a TV Movie with a Point / message. I have to say most of the acting is low quality same go’s for the Picture Quality but the story makes you keep watching. The bullying portions feel uncomfortable to view as they seem realistic and almost feel like I wish I could help this kid. Same go’s to the Realistic rape scene. The film slowly turns dark and you get to view the snapping point of someone who bully’s and consequences that can happen when revenge is implied the wrong way.

Overall the film I feel is a good watch but may not be a repeat viewing. Yes we have films about the subject of bullying but this on is more upfront, gritty feeling and takes turn a different way. Shaky directing and camera work at the start with low lit portions make this film seem amateurish. I wish I knew more about the director and the making of the film. Maybe more can be learned in the interviews in the bonus section. One note of acting I want to make out is the guy who plays bully outshines acting wise.

With that said I give the film a right down the middle 2.5 out of 5 due to the story and subject matter. I feel its at least a Onetime watch so rent it or check it on VOD. Side Note we get a little boob action….Say What. Also the Coke Head chick Kind of looks like Parker Posey Blade Trinity days with out the fangs.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
