My Thoughts

Bang Bang Baby is a Musical Set in the 60’s where a Young High school girl has her dreams set and ready to roll on a singing career but is side tracked by her father or so it seems. The entire set is 60’s themed down to the housing décor, cloths and music style. The game gets switched about 45 minutes in towards the end of her encounter of her musical rock in roll ideal that she finds out the entire town has been infected by a poisonous purple gas. The town people were all giving a drink by the government to help them comment suicide and it seems most are willing to do this. What the gas has done to the people was deform them and even are miss sunshine has been hit with it.

Enough on what the films about as I don’t want to give too much away. I have read other reviews and seen David Lynch brought up a few times, and yes I guess to a point when the syfy kicks in it is a little Lynch but its a fraction and If it were more in that style I might have liked it more. I’m not a Huge Musical film fan but overall the musical aspect was encased in a few Scenes. The style of the movie was good down to the story as its weird, you know a syfy Musical is out there and I feel it might turn a few Viewers off but also bring in some new Faces who may not have seen a Musical.

Overall the film was a decent watch and I feel gets better when the whole deformity hits bringing the film to the syfy stage of its run. I say give it a shot, check the trailer and if you’re a syfy, musical, weird, film type of fan I would say give it a rent.

Bang Bang Baby can be viewed in the streaming format only as it is not getting a Physical release and is available now to view on Amazon and or on VOD which I checked Comcast and its There.

With that said I give this film a 3 out of 5. I’m not a big Musical fan and found this a good watch thanks to the darker portions of the film.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
