overall the sound was great. Not a lot going on as most is dialog. The only Gun Shot sounded bassy and the score was crisp. Vocals were clear and at the right volume.

Picture Quality

Disc Format: Blu-Ray

The Picture Quality was good. Sharp but not extreme detail sharp as the over all tone of the film was dark and skin tones were smooth, so Sharpness wasn’t pore magnified,Which fits the film any way.

My Thoughts

I’ll Follow you down for me was a good watch. From reviews I’ve seen it gets a low, pretty low score but not from me. The film is a drama mystery with science fiction. Were the hate from others maybe due to the seriousness of the film mixed with the small amount science fiction that plays serious for a drama film. Maybe those who entered the film thought It was supposed to be more Science fiction. Maybe I’m lucky as I went in Not knowing what the film was about, I enjoyed it but I’m not saying they film is perfect. It has its downs as well.

The good – Is that the “I See Dead People” kid? Holy Shit, Story was fun and serious at the same time, acting was good, the weirdness of the small amount of Science fiction mixed into a film that’s mostly drama with some mystery.

The Bad – The acting could use more, Yes its good but would make for a better film, More emotions, when some one dies there is usually more sadness, The film had that sad part where you should shed a tear but it was missing something that made me not.

Overall the film is a fun film but may not be for every one. Today maybe was a good day to watch it for me as I enjoyed and love the transition at the beginning to show that the story was 12 years later, Pretty smart. Enjoyed seeing Haley Joel Osment on-screen again and as an adult. Looks the same just a tad heavier and with facial hair, haha.

With that said, I would say maybe give it a rent first. For me I gladly put the Blu-Ray next to my other Films. I give I’ll Follow You Down a 3.5 out of 5.

Small Up Date – Now that I look at more reviews it looks like the film is getting a good amount of good reviews compared to when I checked a few weeks ago as Ive seen bad to mediocre stars. SO it looks like its hitting the right Audience now. Im one of them.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
