My Review:
Payback Time Triple Feature places 3 films on one Blu-Ray Disc.
First up We have Blind Fury, The movie I’ve been wanting and the only one of the three I’ve seen before. The Film is about a Vietnam Vet who went blind due to an explosion and was found by a Local tribe where a Sword Master teaches him how to use a Sword. Once back to America where everyone thought he was dead, he runs in to problems that his old War buddy is in and he has to use his new founded gift in the Sword Game. The movie is Fun but could use work in the story like more training, we only see him learning to use a sword but now how to overcome his Blindness by using his other senses. The film is a lighter Note of Zatoichi but are main lead is not a fun, funny, or as fast with a sword but he still gets the job done.
Next Up we have Silent Rage starring Chuck Norris. This film is a lesser Known film and a B roll that is medium warm in the ratings. The film is a Philological Thriller with some action and runs sorta like a Horror. Basically its Check Norris vs Michael Myers. The story is OK and the Science is not that great, the Dialogue can make the actors seem a little off at times. But he its Chuck Norris, if you like Chuck , action, and mix in some Horror, gore and a tad bit of nudity you will find your self like me enjoying the film for what it is, a B Movie that I would agree with the Medium warm a tad bit over half rating.
Last we have White Line Fever. A Trucking movie dealing with corruption and one lone man who takes it down. The Films stars Jan-Michael Vincent and was happy to see this for the first time as I’ve liked the actor in the 1980 film Defiance…Where he plays almost the same guy taking down corruption in the city. This film gets High review ratings in the 75-80% range and I agree but still could use some work. The Story was fun and filled with action and a message. The story is about a returning Air Force Vet who borrows money the buy a Truck but to only later find out the only company giving out work to haul is doing some Illegal things and that the Police are in on it too. Overall the film was a good watch and at a time can get a tad dark. The Ending doesn’t end with the Main Bad guy getting killed or locked up but it ends with the entire trucking community having are leads back.
The Triple Feature is worth the low price. Some may say it might not be great due to all three film on one disc making for bad-looking Quality but overall the PQ is not Bad. Its HD , but it’s not clean so some dirt will be seen. Colors pop but not like a remastered film and Its pretty sharp-looking on close-ups, but at times softer in distant shots. Not pixelation. The sound sounds great. Granted I would have loved a clean remastered standalone releases. But Hey will these films sell. Its fine with the One disc and the price is great.
I Give the triple Feature a 4 out of 5. All three films are worth the viewing.
