Synopsis |
Reveals the events behind Kurt Cobain’s death as seen through the eyes of Tom Grant, the private investigator that was hired by Courtney Love in 1994 to track down her missing husband (Kurt Cobain) only days before his deceased body was found at their Seattle home. Cobain’s death was ruled a suicide by the police (a reported self-inflicted gunshot wound), but doubts have circulated for twenty years as to the legitimacy of this ruling, especially due to the work of Mr. Grant, a former L.A. County Sheriff’s detective, who did his own investigation and determined there was significant empirical and circumstantial evidence to conclude that foul play could very well have occurred. The film develops as a narrative mystery with cinematic re-creations, interviews with key experts and witnesses and the examination of official artifacts from the 1994 case. – MVDvisual

My Thoughts |
Soaked in Bleach Is a Very well Put together Documentary about the Day and day of Rock star Kurt Cobain’s Death. The Docu has a mixture of Interviews, Sound clips from a Recording a P.I. has who Courtney Love has hired a few day before his Kurt’s and Reenactments.
The Documentary examines the craziness of what happen and what might not have been a suicide as there is more evidence of it not being that then it have being a suicide. From The Suicide letter and Courtney’s Hand writing practice sheet, to the letter being under her pillow when the P.I checked her bed the night before and nothing was there to her ex boyfriend staying in the same house. It’s all pretty crazy and I recommend those who are interested in this subject matter to pick this DVD up.
Overall I enjoyed this Documentary and learned a lot from the interviews of Kurt’s Friends, Police and The P.I.’s Dealing with Courtney who is just crazy as you can observe on the audio clips played throughout this Film. One thing that needs to be pointed out is that Cobain had 3 times the amount of Heroin in his system that could kill any heavy user and yet he still had the function to put a shotgun in his mouth and pull the trigger. This Film will get you thinking and wanting to know more.
With that said I give this Documentary a 4.5 out of and Highly recommend checking it out, Go Buy this one.
