It’s Henry – Portrait of a Serial Killer meets This is Spinal Tap in the gory mockumentary The House with 100 Eyes, the grisliest, darkest horror-comedy ever imaginable. Ed and Susan are just your average, middle-class American suburban married couple: they have their quirks, their romantic moments, their hobbies. One of these hobbies has even turned into a small business venture for the couple…because Ed and Susan are also serial killers who sell snuff videos of their crimes through the internet underground. Since Ed is determined that their next video will surpass all of their previous work, he has decided that it will feature three kills in one night – but after they abduct their intended victims, things don’t go as planned. Filmed entirely through the perspective of Ed’s many cameras, and labeled “one of the greatest horror films of the century” by Film Radar, this film is as shocking as it is slyly satirical about violence and media exploitation – Art Sploitation Films

My Thoughts |
The House with 100 Eyes is a Psychopath Snuff found-footage film. Now I’m not a Huge fan of the found-footage type films but this one takes it in a different path. No Effects Just warped sounds and lot of screams. This movie follows a Couple (Man and Woman) Who are making a snuff film to show to their fans as they always do . We come in to the circle when they are on the Hunt for 2 Females and 1 Stud.
Cameras are all over the place in their house and Oh the film doesn’t just take place in the house. The couple sit in front of the camera explaining there normal lives and we also get a top 10 items that my help with Snuff filming.
Now let get down to the couple. At times they seem normal even while they talk about kidnapping and torturing people in a calm manner but you also get glimpses of the Male on how crazy he is when he snaps at time but tries to keep his composer after that outburst. The female is the hidden gem as she shows no signs of rage just calmness during her madness. Side Note – The guy was having a bad while on the prowl for potential stars so he pops in one of his older snuff films and starts masturbating to it. This couple is nuts.
The film features strong language, torture and madness. The down side there is no nudity and in fact the actors are wearing skin toned underwear that you can see before they blur it out to make it look like they are nude. That was the biggest negative for me, that the film makers then make sure that we didn’t see the skin toned underwear.
For me it was better than I expected. I would say if like Psychopath movies pick it up and don’t be to afraid of the Found-Footage aspect. If you are, I say at least give it a Rent. The film is being released only on DVD.
With that said I give the film a 3 out of 5.
I would have added a half star more if it wasn’t for the Skin toned Underwear overlook. Not bad for A found Footage movie.
