THE FIRST KISS COULD BE YOUR LAST!
Two fraternity pledges head to a seedy part of town to find some entertainment for their college friends but are faced with bloodthirsty vampires!
Keith (Chris Makepeace, Meatballs) and AJ (Robert Rusler, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy s Revenge) want to make the right impression at college and so they devise a plan to get them into the best frathouse on campus. They head to the After Dark Club where they want to find a stripper for a party their friends won t forget, instead they find themselves among vampires led by Kinky Katrina (Grace Jones, A View to a Kill)!
Almost certainly an influence on From Dusk til Dawn, Vamp is superbly designed by many of Grace Jones own award-winning collaborators and features stunning effects by four-time Oscar winner Greg Cannom (The Lost Boys, Bram Stoker s Dracula). Delivering laughs and scares in equal measure, with the added bonus of vampy sex appeal, Vamp is a comedy horror romp with real bite!

Picture Quality Disc Format: Blu-Ray The Picture Quality is pretty good and from what I’ve read it’s the best. We do get great colors and sharpness but we also get some light noise so in darker scenes it nor a tack sharp. Rating: |

| My Thoughts |
Vamp is a Horror film that’s a mix of Revenge of the Nerds , The Lost Boys and From Dusk till Dawn. Two Collage Students are looking to get in a Frat but in order to join they need to find a Stripper for a Party. Are friends hook up with An Asian guy played by Gedde Watanabe who stared in Gung Ho and Sixteen Candles for a ride into town. Well They picked the wrong place as its main attraction stripper played by Grace Jones is an Evil Vampire. The Film has that John Hughes vibe with young adults but also mixed with Lost Boys.
The Story is fun Follow but also it’s not that big of a plot. The film is a Big Cult Follower that I’ve Never Seen and I’m and 80’s Baby so for me it might not have a huge impact as if Iv Seen in younger movie watching days. Even so I still enjoyed it. Mixed with some gore and a little nudity the action runs almost through out. Vampire wise we don’t get a ton until the end but we do know and or think we know the bad guys chasing are frat guys are part of the Vamp clan.
Overall the film is a fun watch mixed with some comedy and a having culty feel giving of vibes of the films I Have named like 3 times already helps a lot. Not a 5 star film but if you enjoy the vibes of the films mentioned, gore, vampires, I would say pick this up
With that said I give Vamp a 4 out of 5 and if I would have viewed the film back in the day it would be higher. I just wished we got a deeper look into the Vampires.
