About:

Marshall Seymour is an Executive Vice President for one of Chicago’s most prestigious department stores. He is also a divorced, stressed-out workaholic with little time for his 11-year-old son, Charlie. But when the two find themselves under the influence of an ill-gotten mystical skull, they become much closer…mostly due to the fact that their minds have switched bodies! Now a preteen boy is up against backstabbing co-workers, politically dangerous board meetings and a blossoming love affair – while a grown man is forced to contend with grade-school bullies, homework and a surprising scarcity of Evian water in the school cafeteria.

My Review:

Vice Versa is an 80’s Comedy That brings back your childhood. The film is about a father and son switching bodies and yes this has been done a few times. One a hard-working businessman with deadlines the other an 11-year-old deep in the school life with homework and upcoming tests. Through a mystic skull smuggled by a group of smugglers but ends up in the hands of Marshall. Through some magic both father and son switch bodies with out them knowing and both are now stuck taking care of adulthood and childhood vice versa. Along the group of smugglers looking to get that skull back.

The story is 80’s all the way and for me is a childhood favorite. The story has been done but this time it related more so to me being a male. The Comedy is decent for younger viewers and the overall vibe of the film is still fun. The film brings Child star Fred Savage and for me Beverly Hills cop fame Jude Reinhold. Those two alone should make this a fun time and that’s what we get. It’s not a 5 star classic but it might hold that mark for some.

Over all the film is still fun and for me still holds up. Of course it could have been better but who cares. Take it as it is, a fun comedy from the 80’s made for the younger viewership. The Blu-Ray looks good not great. Its sharp but colors could pop more as it does have a tad faded look but beats SD.

With that said I give this film a 3.5 out of 5 stars. For those who love this movie I say pick it up. This will be the only time it will be released in HD.
