Audio Audio Language: English The Sound Quality is pretty good with no distortions. But could use more Bass but not bad Sounds good for an older film. |
Picture Quality Disc Format: Blu-Ray The Picture Quality looks great as its sharp in detail and colors pop. It still has that old sploitation look with grain and twinkling stars running across the screen but doesn’t hurt the Quality, just makes it look more authentic. |

My Thoughts |
Dolemite is a blaxploitation film filled with action, Karate, Nudity, and catchy one liners. When Talking blaxploitation Dolemite should be at the top of the list. Yes the acting is low-grade the cuts in the editing room could use work but that what makes this film fun and funny at times.
The Plot is good dealing with the Baddest Pimp in town framed by crooked cops working for a guy who want what Dolemite has. But Non crooked FBI guy understands this might not be what it looks to be, Dolemite is set free. Again good amount of nudity, some of the acting is below grade, but surprisingly some of the action looked good as I think some of the actors are real martial art students. We also have a bunch of gun action and some gore as Dolemite rips out a guys guts.
Overall the film was a fun watch with its ups and downs but the downs is also what makes this good. I wanted more awkward cuts in the editing and more catchy one liners but hey, its good enough.
With that said I give Dolemite a 4.5 out 5 and if your into blaxploitation films you should pick this Blu-Ray up.
