My Review:

Kung Fu Yoga is an Action Film pitting Kung Fu Against Yoga….or is it? The Film Stars Jackie Chan that pits the viewer in the start of the film as if we’ve seen 20 minutes of the plot before hand. Jackie plays an archaeologist on the hunt for Indian treasure. Teamed up with an Indian Princess and a Treasure Hunter whom find themselves against an Indian Bad Guy whom wants it all for him self.

The plot is playful and light heart-ed mixed with a chase scene a few hand to hand fights and some CGI Wild Cats. No Yoga action but more so in a Breathing technique so the title is off and looks to be just saying its Chinese against Indians more so than Kung Fu vs Yoga with Yoga representing India. Action wise its OK, fun but nothing we haven’t seen before, Not a ton of stunts from Jackie which is Fine as Jackie is getting pretty Old now. Jackie does make the movie better with his charm, his great hand to hand and comedy. Comedy portion can be cheesy at times like stars appearing in GGI format in format of Jackie’s eyes. Speaking of CGI we have a decent bit. The most notable is the Lion and the other Cats. CGI is getting better but very noticeable here still. Overall the film looks good with great scenery and back drops. The chase scene was fun with Exotic cars in Dubai but the Lion might get in the way for some…I didn’t mind as it did bring in some more Light heartedness and comedy.

Overall the film was OK it will be A Miss for some but I t will also Be an OK for others. Blu-Ray made it look great. The film does have English Dubbing with Jacking doing his own voice but it will get confusing as we have three different Languages speaking as some actors don’t know what the other is saying at times but all are speaking English makes it a tad Confusing..Best to watch Original Soundtrack…For me It was a lazy day. The film has its up and its downs.

With that said I give this film a 2.5 out of 5 stars. It still has entertainment factors with Jackie and the scenery with Decent action at times. The ending everyone breaks out in dance even the bad-guys. This may show you what kind of film You may be getting into. I Would wait until a Netflix Viewing, but still give it a check when it pops up if you’re a Jackie fan. Personally I wished we had more action and maybe some yoga action.
