My Thoughts |
I loved the film on my first viewing in 1997 as an 11-year-old boy. Today I still like the film, But maybe not as much as I did then. Spawn looks cool in the film and even better on Blu-Ray.
Starring Michael Jai White who I think is under rated as a movie talent did a good job.
The hand to hand action scenes were good as its coming from some one who knows how to fight in real life.
The Special effects were OK just a tad cheesy, come on it’s the mid 90’s. Explosions, guns, fire, hand to hand combat, and special powers it has about every thing… Except Nudity But it does have Bad language and its rated R. So whats not to like about the film.
The comedy side was coming from John Leguizamo who I though was funny and loved how they made him a fat and short clown. Especially when you first see him at a kid’s birthday party as he is doing his thing in front of kids while smoking a cigarette.
The Photo itself makes me smile.
The sound track was good could be better but the picture quality I thought was Awesome. Just look at the pictures I posted.. they still look good even tho I took the photos with my iPhone.
Over all the movie was fun to watch, and was great to look at. The movie has its cons like some of the effects could have been better, and the acting was over done at times. The movie was 98 Minutes long which I thought was a good run time.
Back in 1997 I would give this film a 4 but today as I am older and have seen better comic-book films. I rate Spawn a
3.4 out of 5
