Going by the same title as the 1992 film, A Japanese film company decided to remake the classic Unforgiven. Unforgiven or Yurusarezaru mono in Japan, stars a known Japanese actor we all have seen. Ken Watanabe the other lead in the film the Last Samurai or Batman Begins or Inception Takes the lead in Unforgiven.

Also starring Jun Kunimura, Kôichi Satô, Yûya Yagira, Akira Emoto, and Shioli Kutsuna.

The Teaser is below but with no subtitles and in Japanese. From the teaser its hard to see if this will be good or not but I have a feeling it might.

For those who think, Why is japan remaking a western that is weird. Little Known Fact An American film that go’s by the name The Magnificent Seven ( who hasn’t heard of that) was a remake of Japans Greatest film Seven Samurai. Which I might add both films are really good but if I had to pick one. Seven Samurai all the way.

Unforgiven (2013) will slice the big screen in Japan on September 13 2013 and no word on when it will arrive state side,

Plot: Set in 1880 Japan, “Unforgiven” follows a samurai with a violent past (Watanabe), who lives on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido with his aboriginal wife, but is brought out of retirement for one last job…
