The Sound Quality is pretty good. Clear dialogue with bassy tones when the bullets rip. The score gets heavy at the end and sounds great.

Picture Quality

The picture quality looks pretty good with sharp detail and good-looking colors. Blacks look good as well but distant shots of faces are a tad soft.

My Thoughts

Assassination is a war film with twists and turns dealing with assassins and spy’s between the Koreans and the Japanese. The film at times can get heavy and cruel but that just makes you hate the bad guy more.

The film is long which at times runs slow and kind of hurts it. Action is good with most towards the end dealing with gun battles. The story is good and like I said at times brutal when It comes to the Japanese killing Koreans like the little girl shot at close range. I like the whole spy plot as two Korean fighters walk among the Japanese as solders plotting an attack in a smart way.

Overall the film was enjoyable but does get a little boring and this could be on my end. But loved the action and senseless killings that gets your mood to anger. One thing I do wish they did was incorporate the sniper action more as it was such a small portion of the film. The whole drama of the film was great and if you like a good story I would say pick this up.

With that said I give this film a 3.5 out of 5. It’s a Good film and is worth the watch but you have to find the time for a 2 hour and 20 minute film.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
