My Thoughts |
–
What you see may not be real. The film is filled with a ton O stuff. First off it has a western feel to it, it also deals with a plague of some sort but we never see it as the film revolves around a few Japanese solders and some other characters looking to get a vaccine from them. The film is also a comedy and found my self laughing, it can be over the top but its meant to be due to the characters . I know its weird description, but you will understand when you watch the film as I don’t want to give away the details. All The Action comes at the end and the film turns serious, that’s the big guns come to play. A Knife fight and tons of gun fire erupt but the knife cuts and bullet holes with blood spurts are cgi’d and look fake. Now Could they have done a better job on this or is this supposed to look that way to give it a more comic book effect? Don’t know.
The good – Looks really good, Its funny, the plot is good and different with a lot of stuff going on but nothing dealing with character building. Loved the Way the film was shot from the camera set ups to the cut of the film.
The Bad – The start of the film is over whelming and at first I dint know if I liked the film but it all comes in the play once you know what going on and that it’s not unrecognized and the plot starts to make sense. I think that’s it for the bad.
Overall the film was a fun view and by the end the beginning and other scene become more clear and some of the comedy will seem more funny. It’s all one big set up and I liked it. Over the top but not
I give the film a 4 out of 5
