Don’t worry Matthew McConaughey fans, Matt is taking his acting to serious for a role in THE DALLAS BUYER’S CLUB. McConaughey plays the role of Ron Woodroof who is diagnosed with aids.
Plot: “a tough Texas electrician who was diagnosed with AIDS in 1986 and given six months to live. Unwilling to accept the doctors diagnosis Woodruff became frustrated by the lack of medical options. He found alternative drugs that created a lucrative smuggling business and made those same drugs available to other AIDS patients. However Woodruff died in 1992.”
Told to “go home and die” after developing full-blown AIDS in 1986, electrician Ron Woodroof delves into the world of underground pharmacies that supply HIV drugs not approved for use in the U.S. in an attempt to prolong his life, and, ultimately, the lives of thousands of other people.
Matthew McConaughey said this in an interview with Larry King about the Role:
“It takes a while for your body to understand that it has to feed off of itself and that you’re not going to give it something else from the outside.”
So Far no Due date on the film with a 5 Million Dollar Budget and only other info I have is that Hilary Swank had dropped out due to scheduling.
