My Thoughts |
Dog years is a movie about life between two brothers from different mother who work in Japan. The story splits as we follow each of the brothers and later on they start to hang out with each other and the story go’s on from there. One brother the one we see first is a depressed guy who is lonely and doesn’t want to be in Japan. The other is an English teacher who makes he way to connect with his brother after finding out that he is in Japan.
The story is slow but interesting and funny at times thanks to the darker brother. Also we get to see Japan while viewing the film especially when the brothers take a weekend trip. It’s not sad, semi funny and fun the story is interesting and I don’t feel it’s boring even at the slower portions.
Overall the film was a good watch. It’s one I would not go out and buy as I haven’t heard about the film so I’m glad I got to review this as it’s a decent movie about two brothers who moved to Japan.
With that said I will give the film a 3.5 out of 5. I say give it a shot Netflix, rent or even go out and buy it.
