My Thoughts |
Snow Girl and The Dark Crystal Is a Stunningly beautiful visually film as in Picture quality and sound to match. The film is filled wit big scenes and scenery but is filled with a ton of CGI. Some of the CGI is a Miss while most of it looks good. Things that I wished where more involved and worked out are movements to the monsters and the birds you see flying just look fake. The Rest of looks good. The Film Is Heavy Fantasy with Wuxia like action mixed with some slow-motion and blood.
What I didn’t like about the film is it was long, and not filed with a ton of action. The story was just OK and wished they would have went deeper with character development, trim the film some and add a little more action also fix and improve some of the CGI as things got to be visually cartoonish in a real world element.
Overall the film is an OK watch but what makes the film more watchable is the overall looks of the film but that can also displease a few with the CGI element, I Dint mind granted it’s not 300 like. Action scenes where nice to see but sometimes the CGI would get in the way of enjoying it as movements seem to frigidity and not fluent like in real life. With all that aside thought and put out the unnatural look of the CGI at times and just go with the flow like I did I think it’s an OK watch Visually but somewhat boring of a watch story wise.
With that said I give the film a right down the middle rating of 2.5 out of 5 as it’s still a decent watch. I Say Give it a shot at least once with a rent. More action Please
