Picture Quality

Disc Format: Blu-Ray

The Picture Quality is good but could be a tad better. Yes we get a few white and back dots popping up and the colors could pop a tad more but, the Picture is sharp and the colors have a decent pop to it.

My Thoughts

My Boyfriend’s Back is goofy comedy dealing with the living dead. IA guy who has loved this girl all his life dies protecting her and he comes back. The catch is he must eat the living to prevent from decaying while escaping the town folk while at the same time convince his childhood love to go to prom. Through the film when are main lead comes back from the dead every one doesn’t seem to shock and his parents even try to bring him living flesh to eat.

Yes the film is a loopy comedy but does have its entertainment values along with that childhood nostalgia for those 80’s and early 90’s baby’s like me. Fresh viewings for an older adult may result in different opinions or perhaps not but I feel the film is a good watch.

Overall the film was fun and funny at times but it does suffer from its age. The film has a cult following and I remember liking the film when I was young even though I don’t think it’s as funny or entertaining as before, I still feel it still was a decent watch. Also fun seeing a few actors pop up a t young age like Philip Seymour Hoffman playing the sidekick of the opposing side and a quick few seconds of Matthew McConaughey

With that said I give this film a 3 out of 5 and for the price of this disc with good PQ and SQ it s a good deal. Go pick it up and give it a try if you’re in for a little bit of different comedy.

Note: I Know my speakers are way outdated. OPPO Blu-Ray Player is one of the best around and used in most home theaters. The Receiver is pretty good but on the line of out dated. Subwoofer is good with tons of bass but not the theater quality from a $400 Sub. Front speakers are fun with tons of power and are good for standalone’s but higher end sound (Hz) is lower quality. Overall I need to update on all speakers granted I do get decent sound out of them just the higher end falls short.
