Synopsis |
THEY CAME FOR DINNER…TO FIND THEY WERE IT!!
Microwave Massacre stars legendary stand-up comedian and actor Jackie Vernon (the voice of Frosty The Snowman from the beloved animated Rankin / Bass classic animated holiday special) as Donald, a disgruntled construction worker whose wife s predilection for haute cuisine drives him to cannibalism.
Donald unwittingly stumbles upon a solution to his two major problems in his life his nagging wife and his lack of tasty meals when, one night, he bludgeons his better half to death with a pepper grinder in a drunken rage. Thinking on his feet, Donald dismembers the body and sets about microwaving the remains, which turn out to be rather delicious. Trouble is, now he s got a taste for human flesh that needs satisfying…
Eschewing all notions of good taste, Wayne Berwick s Microwave Massacre is a deliciously depraved exercise in political incorrectness that has gone on to gain a cult following thanks to a characteristically deadpan performance from lead Vernon, who delivers such choice lines as I m so hungry I could eat a whore . Vegetarians need not apply!

My Thoughts |
Microwave Massacre is a B Grade Horror Sploitation film dealing with Cannibalism and sex. A Hard working Construction Worker Gentlemen in his later years is served food by his wife every day and he dreads it but takes revenge by killing her and eating her….Say What. He goes on to Bang other ladies and Commits the same acts as he has done to his wife while also sharing some of the tasty meats to his friends.
Story wise it was small and weird as we don’t get much of a story but a guy who kills and eats his wife and goes on to have sex with other chicks but has a habit of killing them and eating them as well. We Get decent gore with fake arms and legs. Nudity wise we get some but not a ton. Acting is B grade as it looks as it was supposed to be that way. Jokes are pretty corny but fits the overall film. The film doesn’t have a long run time with it hovering around 75 minutes. The Ending kind of it has that Twilight Zone Feel. As for the Microwave portion it’s just a Huge Microwave in the film that cooks the humans the main guy was eating but plays a part in the end. Semi Troma Like Film that Has a Cult Following but for me it doesn’t fit My Tastes.
Overall the film is just an OK watch for me with a One time viewing as its to cheesy for my taste and acting was over the top at times as it was meant to be. I Mean it matches the story as it’s a pretty far out there story line but at the same time minimal. Best Part for the film is the Picture Quality as it is top-notch and pretty sharp.
With that said I give Microwave Massacre a 2 out of 5 and I feel those who love Senseless Gore and Bad jokes will enjoy this film.
