| Synopsis |
Following his star turns in 80s actioners Enter the Ninja and Revenge of the Ninja, Sho Kosugi continued his domination of the US martial arts movie with 1987 s Rage of Honor helmed once again by Pray for Death director Gordon Hessler (The Golden Voyage of Sinbad).
Federal agent Shiro Tanaka (Kosugi) used to live for his job now, he lives only for revenge. When his partner is killed during a bungled drug bust, Shiro throws away his badge and the rule book with it: arming himself with an array of deadly weaponry including nunchucks, blades and ninja stars he sets out to Buenos Aires to settle the score with the bad guys.
Packing explosions, flying kicks and somersaults aplenty (as well as some truly logic-bending stunt sequences), Rage of Honor sees Kosugi at the top of his game as he battles his way from the streets of the urban jungle to the very literal jungles of South America.

I can’t really give a full ratting on picture and sound due to viewing this film on a different set up with no sound systems a no a not properly adjust picture on the TV. But what I can say is the picture looks pretty sharp but at times the amount of film grain gets in the way of sharpness and this could be the way the TV is set up with its sharpness too high and contrast over where it should be. Colors look cold. As for sound I’m on a TV speaker setup so I can judge it much

| My Thoughts |
Rage Of honor is an action, martial rat, ninja film starring. OK it’s not a ninja film per say but are lead does throw ninja stars and we do have a few ninjas make an appearance but mostly it’s more so a cop vs international criminals who kill his friend and kidnapped his squeeze. Now the film has its cheese from the over acting to the short dialogue scenes down to the short cuts in the editing and acting wise it’s just OK.
Action wise we do get a good amount with gun play, hand to hand, some sword action, ninja stars cross bows and explosions. Some of the action though can be comedic to new viewers with the flips and higher than normal jumps as I watch a family member giggle at some of it.
Overall it’s a good film but not great. It can be cheesy and some comedic action and over acting portions but the action was in full amount and most of that time it was fun to watch. More ninjas and swords would be cooler less over acting and better editing would have made this film better
With that said I give this film a 3.5 out of 5 and I feel it may be a hit or miss for viewers. But if you like action, ninjas or you’re an arrow video collected you should probably throw this I. Your collection.
