Synopsis |
THEY SLIME. THEY OOZE. THEY KILL.
From celebrated Spanish director Juan Piquer Simón, the man behind the truly demented slasher flick Pieces (1982), comes a terrifying tale of mutant slugs on the rampage in small-town America.
The townsfolk of a rural community are dying in strange and gruesome circumstances. Following the trail of horrifically mutilated cadavers, resident health inspector Mike Brady is on the case to piece together the mystery. He soon comes to a terrifying conclusion giant slugs are breeding in the sewers beneath the town, and they re making a meal of the locals!
Based on the novel by acclaimed British horror author Shaun Hutson, Slugs outdoes its creature feature peers by adding an extra dose of gross-out gore into the equation, culminating in one of the most squirm-inducing animal attack movies ever to slither its way across screens.

My Thoughts |
Slugs is a Horror Film dealing with Mutated Slugs that have a Bite and travel in packs to hunt down its prey. Slimy Creators lurking in gardens and sewers are creating a havoc in a small town taking out animals and people in their way. Don’t worry are health inspector is on the case.
The Story is not as cheesy as i thought but it’s still has it. The Slugs at some points are creepy and interesting to look at but also at time funny to think that slugs have the power to pull down humans to eat them. The story is OK no Character building and acting can be up and down but not bad. We have some Nudity and good gore with slugs eating eyes squirming of people.
Overall the film was a fun viewing. It’s not a great film but it’s still entertaining and worth the check. An OK Story with a crazy plot for Horror, Gore, a little cheese factor, and OK acting make the film makes the film hold its own with other 80’s horror.
With that said I Give Slugs a 3.5 out of 5. Thinks to its weird Plot of Slugs taking over and making the story still work and stay creepy but at the same time still feeling a little cheesy makes this film worthy of sitting on your shelf. Check it out.
