My Thoughts |
This is the 3rd installment of the title bearing the 36th chamber name starring Gordon Liu. Not as a student but as a teacher, who brings in an immature fighter who is in danger from the Manchus.
The movie doesn’t have a lot of training scenes and sports only a few fight scenes, but does have a decent story. Out of the 3 36th chamber movies this is my least favorite film as you don’t get to see Gordon Liu in action too much and some scenes are sped up.
Over all its still a decent film and the action is authentic like the other 2 films. Like return to the 36th chambers this film has a comedy approach and the immature fighter played by Hsiao Hou does a good job at keeping me entertained with his my kung fu is better than yours attitude. My rating for this film is
4.5 out of 5
