Plot

Driven out of his home by the invading Japanese forces that killed his father, a young Chinese man retreats to the safety of the isolated mountains. Putting himself through years of rigorous, brutal training, he transforms himself into a deadly warrior and swears vengeance against the evil occupiers, in this thrilling martial arts actioner.

My Thoughts

This is a Shaw brothers film that pits the Japanese against the Chinese and also it inspired a little movie called King Boxer AKA Five fingers of death but was inspired also by fist of fury. The plot is the Japanese is taking over a town and forcing merchants to sell their products to them and not to any one else and also bullying the Chinese in the town. Of course one group stands up for it’s self but in return things happen the Japs kill the chief of the group in  front of his son after he killed their leader in a fair fight. The kid go’s into hiding with the rest of the group practicing for payback.

Some arms are lost, blood is flying, some ones foot go’s through some ones chest the kid grows up to seek revenge and some hands become hard as steel. The action was good some stuff i haven’t seen in a Shaw flick but some fights seem like they are trying be careful due to the swords so reaction sometimes seems slow lol. But other than that the fight scenes are great with nice choreography performed by the lead male role and lead female role.

Plot is like  You know a revenge story told in a different way but not bad. I Recommend it not only because i enjoyed it but also for that it inspired a film to be made called king boxer . My rating is

4 out of 5
